Nagaland reports 6 new COVID-19 cases, 7 recoveries

Dimapur, Aug. 12 (EMN): Nagaland reported six new COVID-19 cases on Friday, taking the state’s tally to 35,865, while the death toll remained unchaged at 768 with no fatalities registered during the same period.

An update by the Health department informed that three cases were reported in Dimapur, two in Mon and one in Kohima, while seven patients — two each in Dimapur and Longleng, and one each in Kiphire, Kohima and Phek — recuperated during the past 24 hours.

The total number recoveries in the state has increased to 33,541.

The state currently has 45 active cases, out of which 31 are asymptomatic, 11 mild and one moderate on oxygen, one severe on oxygen and one in ICU on ventilator.

In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 12, Mon nine, Kohima seven, four each in Mokokchung and Longleng, three each in Wokha and Zunheboto, two in Tuensang, and one in Kiphire, while the remaining districts are COVID-free.
