Nagaland reports 52 new Covid-19 cases, 3 more deaths

Dimapur, Aug. 29 (EMN):
Nagaland reported 52 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, taking the active tally to 806 and cumulative tally to 29972.

According to data from the department of Health and Family Welfare, Dimapur reported 16 cases, Kohima 15, seven in Mon, five in Phek, four in Zunheboto, three in Mokokchung and two in Wokha.

Meanwhile, the death toll stands at 603 out of which three deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.

With 64 recoveries reported on Sunday, the recovery tally stands at 27665; 41 recoveries were reported from Dimapur, 13 from Mokokchung and 10 from Kohima in the last 24 hours.

India reports 45k new cases

India added 45,083 new coronavirus infections on Sunday taking the total tally of Covid-19 cases to 3,26,95,030, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.

It said the death toll climbed to 4,37,830 with 460 fresh fatalities.

The recovery of 35,840 patients in the last 24 hours increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,18,88,642.

Meanwhile, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has surpassed the cumulative figure of 63.09 crore (63,09,17,927).
