Nagaland reports 5 new COVID-19 cases, 1 death

Dimapur, Aug. 5 (EMN): The number of active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland has declined to 68 with 10 recoveries — five in Kohima, two in Dimapur, and one each in Mokokchung, Mon and Wokha — registered on Friday, while five fresh cases pushed the state’s tally to 35,827.

An update from the Health department informed that three casesin Dimapur, and one each in Kohima and Longleng were reported during the last 24 hours, and the total recoveries increased to 33,481.

The death toll increased to 767 with one more fatality reported during the same period.

Out of the 68 active cases, 41 are asymptomatic, and 27 mild. In terms of district-wise distribution of cases, Kohima has 21, Dimapur 19, Wokha nine, Mon five, Longleng four, three each in Mokokchung and Zunheboto, two in Tuensang, and one each in Kiphire and Phek.
