Nagaland reports 5 Covid recoveries

Dimapur, March 20 (EMN):
Nagaland recorded five recoveries from Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, while no positive cases were reported during the same period.

The state’s tally stands at 35,461 and active caseload has declined to 32, while the cumulative recoveries also increased to 33, 187.

The death toll remains unchanged at 754 with no fresh death reported on Sunday.

According to data from the department of Health and Family Welfare, two from Dimapur, and one each from Kiphire, Kohima and Mokokchung recovered from the infection.

Out of 32 active cases in the state, 30 are asymptomatic, one moderate on oxygen and one in ICU on ventilator.

In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 20 infections, 10 in Kohima, one in Mokokchung and Wokha, while Kiphire, Longleng, Mon, Tuensang, Peren, Zunheboto and Phek are currently Covid-19 free.

1,761 new cases in India

India on Sunday recorded 1,761 fresh coronavirus infections taking the tally to 4,30,07,841, while the active cases declined further to 26,240, according to Union Health Ministry data.

The death toll climbed to 5,16,479 with 127 daily fatalities, the data stated.

3,196 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients is now at 4,24,65,122.

Meanwhile, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 181.21 crore(1,81,21,11,675).
