Nagaland reports 45 new Covid-19 cases, no deaths
Dimapur, Sep. 10 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single rise of 45 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, taking the tally to 30,555 and active caseload to 650.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 28,344 with 48 more patients having recuperated in the last 24 hours, while the death toll remained unchanged at 620 with no fresh fatalities reported.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 27 cases were reported in Dimapur, 12 in Kohima, two in Mokokchung, and one each in Kiphire, Tuensang, Wokha and Zunheboto on Friday.
Of the 48 new recoveries, 13 were in Mokokchung, 12 in Kohima, 11 in Dimapur, six in Zunheboto, four in Phek, and one each in Longleng and Mon.
Nagaland currently has 650 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 495 are asymptomatic, 103 mild, 10 moderate on oxygen, 25 severe on oxygen, eight in ICU without ventilator, and nine in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 341 cases, followed by Kohima with 111, 90 in Mokokchung, 31 in Phek, 34 in Mon, 12 in Wokha, eight each in Zunheboto, Peren and Kiphire, four in Longleng, and three in Tuensang.
India logs 34973 new cases
Meanwhile, India reported 34,973 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the tally to 3,31,74,954, while active cases declined to 3,90,646 following 37,681 recoveries, according to the data provided by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The death toll climbed to 4,42,009 with 260 fresh fatalities, total recoveries increased to 3,23,42,299 at 97.49% recovery rate.
The ministry also updated that 72.37 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far across the country.
