Nagaland reports 39 new Covid-19 cases, 4 deaths

Dimapur, Sep. 11 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single rise of 39 new Covid-19 cases on Saturday, taking the tally to 30,594 and active caseload to 639.
The state’s cumulative recoveries rose to 28,388 after 44 more patients recuperated in the last 24 hours, while the death toll increased to 622 with two fatalities being registered.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 30 Covid positive cases were reported in Dimapur on Saturday, three each in Kohima and Phek, two in Mokokchung, and one in Wokha.
Of the 44 new recoveries, 21 were in Dimapur, 15 in Mokokchung, five in Kohima, and three in Phek.
Nagaland currently has 639 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 492 are asymptomatic, 92 mild, 13 moderate on oxygen, 21 severe on oxygen, 12 in ICU without ventilator, and nine in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 347 cases, followed by Kohima with 107, 77 in Mokokchung, 31 in Phek, 34 in Mon, 13 in Wokha, seven in Zunheboto, eight each in Peren and Kiphire, four in Longleng, and three in Tuensang.

India logs 33376 new cases
rted 33,376 new coronavirus infections on Saturday, taking the overall tally to 3,32,08,330, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
It said the death toll climbed to 4,42,317 with 308 fresh fatalities.
Meanwhile, the number of active cases stands at 3,91,516 with 32,198 patients recovering in the last 24 hours and the cumulative recoveries increased to 3,23,74,497.
It stated that with the administration of 65,27,175 vaccine doses, the country’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage surpassed the cumulative figure of 73 crore (73,05,89,688).
