Nagaland reports 37 new Covid-19 cases, no deaths

Dimapur, Sep. 15 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 37 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, pushing the state’s tally to 30,731 while active caseload declined to 519 after the recovery of 88 patients.
The state’s death toll remain unchanged at 632 with no fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours while the total number of recoveries increased to 28,626.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 18 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, 13 in Kohima three in Phek, two in Mokokchung and one in Peren.
17 Covid cases were reported in Dimapur on Wednesday, five each in Kohima, Mokokchung and
and Tuensang, two in Peren, and one each in Kiphire, Longleng, and Zunheboto.
Of the 88 new recoveries, 54 were in Dimapur, 10 each in Kohima and Mon, four each in Phek and Zunheboto, two each in Mokokchung and Peren, and one each in Tuensang and Wokha.
Nagaland currently has 519 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 404 are asymptomatic, 84 mild, eight moderate on oxygen, 13 severe on oxygen, three in ICU without ventilator, and seven in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 281 cases, followed by Kohima with 92, Mokokchung- 75, Phek- 23, Wokha- 19, Tuensang- 8, Mon- 6, Zunheboto- 6, Kiphire- 6, Peren- 2, and Longleng- 1.
27176 new cases in India
India reported 27,176 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, taking the coronavirus infection tally to 3,33,16,755, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
Meanwhile, the death toll climbed to 4,43,497 with 284 fresh fatalities.
The active cases declined to 3,51,087 and cumulative recoveries increased to 3,25,22,171 with 38,012 patients having recuperated in the last 24 hours.
It said that the country’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has surpassed the cumulative figure of 75.89 crore.
