Nagaland reports 36 new Covid-19 cases, 3 more deaths

Nagaland reported 36 fresh Covid-19 positive cases on Sunday, taking the active tally to 618 and Covid tally to 30630.

According to data from the department of Health and Family Welfare, Kohima reported 16 cases, Dimapur 10, Wokha four, Mokokchung three, Zunheboto two and Tuensang one.

Meanwhile, the state also reported 51 recoveries in the last 24 hours, out of which Dimapur recorded 28, Kohima 17, Mokokchung and Longleng two each, Kiphire and Phek one each. 

The death toll stands at 625 with three more deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

India reports 28k cases

India reported 28,591 new coronavirus infections on Sunday, taking its overall Covid-19 tally to 3,32,36,921, according to data from the Union Health Ministry. With 338 fatalities, India’s Covid-19 death toll also climbed to 4,42,655.

The number of active cases declined by 6,595 as 34,848 patients recovered in the last 24 hours.

It stated that with the administration of 72,86,883 vaccine doses, the country’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage surpassed the cumulative figure of 73.82 crore (73,82,07,378).
