Nagaland reports 35 new Covid-19 cases, 1 death

Dimapur, Aug. 22 (EMN): Nagaland on Sunday reported 35 new Covid-19 cases, pushing the total tally to 29589 and active tally to 975.
According to data from department of Health and Family Welfare, Dimapur reported 12 cases, 10 each in Kiphire and Mokokchung, and one each in Kiphire, Mon and Phek.
Meanwhile, the state also reported 52 recoveries in the last 24 hours, out of which 26 were from Dimapur, 12 from Kohima, eight from Mokokchung, four from Longleng and two from Peren.
The death toll stands at 596 with one death reported in the last 24 hours.
India reports 30k new cases
India reported 30,948 new coronavirus infections on Sunday, while the active cases declined to 3,53,398, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
The total tally of Covid-19 cases increased to 3,24,24,234.
It said that the death toll climbed to 4,34,367 with 403 fresh fatalities.
The recovery of 38,487 patients in the last 24 hours increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,16,36,469.
Moreover, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage surpassed the cumulative figure of 58.14 crore (58,14,89,377).
