Nagaland reports 3 new Covid-19 cases, 10 recoveries

Dimapur, March 2 (EMN): Nagaland reported three new positive Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the state’s tally to 35413 while active cases declined to 86.

Data from the department of Health and Family Welfare informed that Dimapur reported two cases while Mokokchung reported one case.

The death toll remained unchanged at 752 with no fresh deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 33092 with 10 more recoveries during the same period. The recoveries were reported in Dimapur with eight cases, and one each in Kohima and Longleng.

Out of the 86 active cases, 70 are asymptomatic, 13 mild, two moderate on oxygen and one in ICU on ventilator.

223 fresh fatalities in India

India recorded 7,554 new coronavirus infections on Wednesday, taking the tally of Covid-19 cases to 4,29,38,599, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.

The death toll climbed to 5,14,246 with 223 fresh fatalities, the data stated.

The active cases dipped to 85,680 with the recovery of 14,123 patients in the last 24 hours.

With the administration of more than 8 lakh (8,55,862) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 177.79 crore(1,77,79,92,977).
