Nagaland reports 2 new COVID cases, 2 deaths

Dimapur, Sep. 3 (EMN): The number of active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland declined to 19 with two recoveries on Saturday.

 With the recovery of the two patients — one each in Kohima and Longleng– the state’s cumulative recoveries have increased to 33,616.

According to the update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID cases in the state stands at 35,926 with two new cases reported in Dimapur during the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the death toll from the pandemic stands at 774 with two deaths reported during the same period.

Out of the 19 active cases, 15 are asymptomatic and four mild. In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, Dimapur has eight cases, three each in Kohima and Mokokchung, two in Mon and one each in Wokha, Longleng and Tuensang, while the remaining districts are currently COVID-free.
