Nagaland reports 2 new Covid-19 cases, 3 recoveries

Dimapur, March 19 (EMN): Nagaland recorded two fresh Covid-19 positive cases on Saturday, taking the tally to 35,461 and active caseload to 37.
The state’s cumulative recoveries increased to 33, 182 with recovery of three more patients in the last 24 hours while the death toll remained unchanged at 754 with no fresh fatalities.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, two positive cases were reported in Dimapur and three patients from the same city recovered on Saturday.
Out of 37 active cases in the state, 34 are asymptomatic, one mild, one moderate on oxygen and one in ICU on ventilator.
In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 22 infections, 11 in Kohima, two in Mokokchung, and one each in Kiphire and Wokha, while Longleng, Mon, Tuensang, Peren, Zunheboto and Phek are currently Covid-19 free.
2075 fresh infections in India
India’s Covid-19 tally increased to 4,30,06,080 on Saturday with 2,075 fresh infections, according to data from the Union Health ministry.
The death toll climbed to 5,16,352 with 71 fresh fatalities, the data stated.
Meanwhile, the active cases declined to 27,802 with the recovery of 3,383 patients in the last 24 hours. India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 181.04 crore (1,81,04,96,924).
