Nagaland reports 192 new cases; 1.65 lakh in India

Dimapur, May 30 (EMN): Nagaland reported 192 positive Covid-19 cases in Sunday, pushing the state’s tally to 21,563.
The minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom update that out of the 192 cases detected in the last 24 hours, 80 were in Dimapur, 33 each in Kohima and Mokokchung, 12 in Zunheboto, 11 in Mon, seven in Phek, six in Wokha, three each in Kiphire, Peren and Tuensang, and one in Longleng.
He added that as many as 109 positive patients — 77 in Dimapur, 17 in Phek, 10 in Kohima, three in Kiphire, one each in Mokokchung and Mon — recovered during the same period.
The state also reported 12 deaths in the last 24 hours, pushing the Covid- related death tally to 350.
1.65 lakh new cases in India
India recorded 1, 65, 553 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, taking the country’s tally to 2, 78, 94, 800, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
Meanwhile, the death toll climbed to 3, 25, 972 in the country with 3,460 fatalities being recorded in a span of 24 hours.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the country exceeded 21.20 crore on Sunday under the nationwide vaccination drive.
A total of 21, 20, 66, 614 vaccine doses have been administered through 30, 07, 831 sessions. More than 30.35 lakh (30, 35, 749) vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
