Nagaland reports 17 new Covid-19 cases, 4 deaths

Dimapur, Sep. 17 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 17 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, taking the tally to 30,780 and active caseload to 471.
The state’s cumulative recoveries increased to 28,715 with 46 more patients having recuperated in the last 24 hours, while the death toll rose to 638 after four fresh fatalities.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, seven positive cases were reported in Kohima, six in Dimapur and two each in Kiphire and Phek.
Of the 46 new recoveries, 21 were in Dimapur, nine in Kohima, five each in Mokokchung, Mon and Phek, and one in Longleng.
Nagaland currently has 471 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 359 are asymptomatic, 80 mild, 11 moderate on oxygen, 11 severe on oxygen, five in ICU without ventilator, and five in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has the highest number of positive cases with 247 active cases, followed by Kohima with 96, 65 in Mokokchung, 20 in Wokha, 18 in Phek, eight each in Tuensang and Kiphire, six in Zunheboto, two in Peren, one in Mon and Longleng with zero cases of Covid-19.
