Nagaland reports 17 new Covid-19 cases, 1 death

Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 17 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, taking the tally to 31,167 and active caseload to 426.

The state’s cumulative recoveries rose to 29,094 with 32 more patients having recuperated in the last 24 hours, while the death toll increased to 648 with one more fatality reported.

According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 10 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, three in Kohima, two in Mokokchung and one each in Peren and Wokha.

Of the 32 new recoveries, 14 were in Dimapur, eight in Wokha, five in Kohima, three in Mokokchung, and two in Zunheboto.

Nagaland currently has 426 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 331 are asymptomatic, 75 mild, six moderate on oxygen, six severe on oxygen, four in ICU without ventilator, and four in ICU on ventilator.

In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has the highest number of infections with 228, followed by Kohima with 96, 43 in Mokokchung, 19 in Tuensang, 17 in Phek, nine in Kiphire, six in Wokha, five in Longleng, and three in Peren, while Zunheboto and Mon are currently Covid-free.
