Nagaland reports 10 fresh Covid-19 cases

Dimapur, Nov. 20 (EMN):
Nagaland recorded 10 fresh Covid-19 positive cases on Sunday, taking the state’s Covid tally to 32, 050, while active caseload stands at 126.

 The state’s cumulative recoveries have increased to 30,173, with five more patients having recuperated in the last 24 hours. The death toll remains unchanged at 679 with no Covid-19 death reported on Sunday.

Data from the department of Health and Family Welfare informed that the 10 cases were reported from Dimapur alone.

Out 126 active cases in the state, 99 are asymptomatic, 19 mild, two moderate on oxygen, one severe on oxygen, two in ICU without ventilator and three in ICU on ventilator.

In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 78 active cases, 26 in Mokokchung, 17 in Kohima, three in Kiphire, one each in Wokha and Zunheboto, while Peren, Phek, Mon, Tuensang and Longleng are currently Covid-free.

10,488 new cases in India

India logged 10,488 new coronavirus infections taking the country’s total tally of Covid-19 cases to 3,45,10,413, while the active cases declined to 1,22,714, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.

The death toll climbed to 4,65,662 with 313 fresh fatalities, according to the data updated at 8 am.

The recovery of 12,329 patients in the last 24 hours increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,39,22,037.

Meanwhile, with the administration of 67,25,970 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded116.50 crore (1,16,50,55,210).
