Nagaland records one Covid-19 case; tally stands at 12067

Dimapur, Jan. 20 (EMN): One Covid-19 positive case was detected in Nagaland on Wednesday, taking the state’s tally to 12,067.

The minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, informed that one positive case was detected in Kohima and seven patients – six in Dimapur and one in Peren – recovered on Wednesday.

According to an update by the Health department, Nagaland currently has 106 active cases, out of which 88 are asymptomatic, five mild, eight moderate on oxygen and five severe on oxygen.

The state has also recorded 11731 recoveries so far and 88 deaths, out of which 10 have been ruled 'not Covid-related'.

In terms of district-wise distribution of active Covid cases, Kohima leads with 54 cases, followed by Dimapur-40, Mokokchung-11 and Mon-1, while Kiphire, Longleng, Peren, Phek, Tuensang, Wokha and Zunheboto have zero cases.
