Nagaland records 94 new Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths

Dimapur, July 20 (EMN): Nagaland’s Covid-19 tally increased to 26,838 as 94 new cases were reported on Tuesday.

The state also reported two deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s death toll to 518 while recoveries increased to 24,393 with 72 more patients having recovered.

The Health and Family Welfare Department updated that out of the 94 new cases detected on Tuesday, Dimapur reported the highest number at 43, followed by Kohima at 34, seven in Mokokchung, four in Wokha, two in Longleng and one each in Mon, Phek, Tuensang and Zunheboto.

The state also recorded 72 recoveries out of which 26 were in Mokokchung, 21 in Kohima, 17 in Dimapur, four in Longleng, three in Mon and one in Peren.

Nagaland currently has 1160 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 906 are asymptomatic, 194 mild, 27 moderate on oxygen, 17 severe on oxygen, eight in ICU without ventilator and eight in ICU on ventilator.

In regard to the district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Kohima has 423 active cases, 297 in Dimapur, 213 in Mokokchung, 46 in Longleng, 34 in Tuensang, 32 in Wokha, 27 in Kiphire, 26 in each in Zunheboto and Phek, 20 in Mon and 16 in Peren.
