Nagaland records 82 new Covid-19 cases; active caseload reaches 257
The state has registered 12110 recoveries and 84 deaths due to Covid-19 so far

Dimapur, April 20 (EMN): As the second wave of Covid-19 sweeps through India, registering record daily fresh infections for several days now, Nagaland recorded 82 new cases in the last 24 hours, which is the highest single-day spike the state has registered this month.
The minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, updated on Tuesday that 70 fresh cases were detected in Dimapur, 11 in Kohima and one in Tuensang, taking the state’s active caseload to 257 and tally to 12650.
He went on to inform that the state has registered 12110 recoveries and 84 deaths due to Covid-19 so far.
Out of the 257 active cases the state currently has, 234 are asymptomatic, 17 mild and six moderate on oxygen. In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 170, 65 in Kohima, 10 in Mokokchung, six in Phek and one each in Tuensang and Wokha.
