Nagaland records 81 new Covid-19 cases, 1 death; tally breaches 27000-mark

Nagaland’s Covid-19 tally increased to 27,024 as 81 new cases were reported on Thursday.

The state also reported one death in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s death toll to 522 while cumulative recoveries rose to 24,494 with 60 more patients having recovered. 

The Health and Family Welfare department updated that out of the 81 new cases detected on Thursday, Kohima reported the highest number at 37, followed by Dimapur at 18, nine in Mokokchung, eight in Peren, three each in Phek and Wokha, two in Kiphire, and one in Mon.

The state also registered 60 recoveries with 19 in Kohima, 11 in Zunheboto, nine in Wokha, seven in Dimapur, four each in Longleng and Mon, three in Mokokchung, two in Phek, and one in Tuensang.

Nagaland currently has 1237 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 956 are asymptomatic, 212 mild, 34 moderate on oxygen, 19 severe on oxygen, seven in ICU without ventilator, and nine in ICU on ventilator.

In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Kohima has 466 patients, 341 in Dimapur, 212 in Mokokchung, 42 in Longleng, 38 in Tuensang, 27 in Phek, 26 each in Wokha and Kiphire, 24 in Peren, 18 in Mon, and 17 in Zunheboto.
