Nagaland records 81 new Covid-19 cases, 1 death

Dimapur, Aug. 13 (EMN): Nagaland’s Covid-19 tally has increased to 29,036 as 81 new Covid-19 positive cases were reported on Friday.
The Health and Family Welfare Department updated that out of the 81 new positive cases detected on Friday, 24 were in Mokokchung, 19 in Dimapur, 11 in Kohima, eight in Tuensang, six each in Peren and Wokha, four in Zunheboto, and one each in Kiphire, Longleng and Mon.
The state’s death toll increased to 580 as one more patient succumbed to the virus reported in the last 24 hours, while the number of recoveries rose to 26,264 after 81 people recovered from the disease.
On Friday, 34 patients recovered in Kohima, 15 in Peren, 10 each in Dimapur and Longleng, nine in Mokokchung, two in Tuensang, and one in Kiphire.
Nagaland currently has 1,346 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1076 are asymptomatic, 218 mild, 20 moderate on oxygen, 16 severe on oxygen, nine in ICU without ventilator and seven in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has 446 patients, 314 in Kohima, 238 in Mokokchung, 78 in Peren, 74 in Tuensang, 69 in Zunheboto, 41 in Wokha, 36 in Longleng, 23 in Mon, 15 in Kiphire, and 12 in Phek.
