Nagaland records 66 new Covid-19 cases, 3 deaths; tally at 25305

Nagaland recorded 66 new Covid-19 positive cases on Thursday, taking the state’s tally to 25,305.

The Health and Family Welfare Department updated that out of the 66 new cases detected in the last 24 hours, 20 were in Mokokchung, 13 in Kohima, 11 in Dimapur, 10 in Peren, five in Phek, three in Wokha, two in Kiphire and one each in Mon and Tuensang.

The state also recorded 82 recoveries on Thursday with 24 in Kohima, 19 each in Dimapur and Mokokchung, nine in Zunheboto, seven in Peren and, four in Wokha.

The state currently has 1321 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1145 are asymptomatic, 130 mild, 29 moderate on oxygen, six severe on oxygen, three in ICU without ventilator and eight in ICU with ventilator.

The state also registered 22,781 recoveries and 484 deaths with three casualties reported in the last 24 hours.

In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Kohima has 380, Dimapur-332, Mokokchung-260, Tuensang-106, Peren-78, Zunheboto-51, Phek-37, Mon-26, Wokha-22, Kiphire-21, and Longleng-8.

48k new cases in India

India on Thursday recorded 48,786 (48k) new cases of coronavirus, taking the tally to 3,04,11,634, according to data provided by the Union Health Ministry.

It said that the active cases declined to 5,23,257 with 61,588 recoveries registered in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the Covid-19 death toll rose to 3,99,459 with 1,005 fresh fatalities.

India’s cumulative vaccination coverage exceeded 33.57 crore, it said. A total of 33,57,16,019 vaccine doses have been administered through 44,75,791 sessions while 27,60,345 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
