Nagaland records 62 new Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths

Nagaland’s Covid-19 tally increased to 26,744 as 62 new Covid-19 positive cases were detected on Monday.

The state also reported two deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s death toll to 516, while the state’s cumulative recoveries increased to 24,321 with recovery of 61 more patients.

The Health and Family Welfare Department updated that out of the 62 new cases detected on Monday, Kohima reported the highest with 22, followed by Longleng- 17, Dimapur-9, Mokokchung- 6, Mon-3, Tuensang- 3, and Wokha- 2.

The state also recorded 61 recoveries in the last 24 hours, wherein 21 were in Dimapur, 12 in Kohima, seven in Wokha, six each in Mokokchung and Tuensang, four in Longleng, three in Mon, and two in Peren.

Nagaland currently has 1147 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 907 are asymptomatic, 183 mild, 25 moderate on oxygen, 18 severe on oxygen, seven in ICU without ventilator and seven in ICU on ventilator.

In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Kohima has 410 infections, 280 in Dimapur, 232 in Mokokchung, 48 in Longleng, 33 in Tuensang, 28 in Wokha, 27 in Kiphire, 25 in each Zunheboto and Phek,  22 in Mon, and 17 in Peren.
