Nagaland records 6 fresh Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths; tally rises to 11960

Dimapur, Jan. 7 (EMN): Nagaland recorded two deaths and six new Covid-19 positive cases on Thursday, taking the state’s Covid tally to 11960.

This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.

‘Six positive cases of Covid-19 were detected today (Thursday); Dimapur-3, Kohima-2 and Peren-1. Also, seven positive patients have recovered; Dimapur-4 and Kohima-3,’ tweeted the minister. 

According to the information provided by the Health department, Nagaland currently has 129 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 101 are asymptomatic, 16 mild, five moderate on oxygen, one severe on oxygen, and two critical (ICU) on oxygen and four on critical (ICU) on ventilator.

Nagaland has also recorded 11,610 recoveries and 82 deaths, out of which 10 have been ruled ‘not Covid-related’.

In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases in Nagaland, Dimapur leads with 63 cases, followed by Kohima-44, Mokokchung-13, Peren-6, and one each in Kiphire, Longleng and Mon, while Tuensang, Wokha, Phek and Zunheboto have zero cases.
