Nagaland records 310 new Covid-19 positive cases

Nagaland recorded new Covid-19 positive cases on Friday, taking the state's tally to 4,946.

This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.

“310 new cases of Covid-19 have been detected out of 922 sample tested. 176 in Dimapur, 127 in Kohima, 3 in Zunheboto and 1 each in Wokha, Peren, Mon and Mokokchung. Necessary contact tracing have been fully activated,” the minister tweeted.

According to the information provided by the Health department till the time of filing this report, the state has 1,144 active Covid-19 cases, and 3,781 recoveries, and eight deaths.

In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 619 active cases, followed by Kohima-434, Mon-28, Tuensang-16, Mokokchung-14, Kiphire 11, Zunheboto-5, two each in Phek and Wokha, and a lone case in Peren. Longleng district is currently coronavirus-free.
