Nagaland records 309 new Covid-19 cases, 177 recoveries on Saturday

Dimapur, June 5 (EMN):
New Covid-19 cases breached 300-mark again in Nagaland on Saturday, pushing the state tally to 22,696.

According to an update from the Health and Family Welfare department, 309 new infections were registered in the last 24 hours, out of which 164 were detected in Mokokchung, 55 in Kohima, 33 in Dimapur, 29 in Mon, 15 in Tuensang, seven in Longleng, four in Kiphire and one each in Peren and Phek.

The state also registered 177 recoveries in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 16814 and the death toll is 408, out of which six were detected on Saturday.

The state has currently 4819 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 4482 are asymptomatic, 208 mild, 73 moderate on oxygen, 28 severe on oxygen, 19 in ICU without ventilator and nine in ICU on ventilator.


In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has 2,362, 1,448 in Kohima, 381 in Mokokchung, 203 in Tuensang, 81 in Zunheboto, 78 in Phek, 71 in Mon, 63 in Wokha, 47 in Kiphire, 27 in Longleng, and 18 in Peren.
