Nagaland records 252 new Covid-19 cases, 13 deaths, 214 recoveries on Saturday

Dimapur, May 22 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 252 new Covid-19 positive cases on Saturday, pushing the state’s tally to 19845, while 214 patients recovered on the same day.
The minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, updated that out of the 252 new cases detected in the last 24 hours, 137 were in Dimapur, 50 in Kohima, 17 in Mokokchung, 15 in Zunheboto, 11 in Phek eight in Tuensang, six in Wokha, three each in Mon and Kiphire, and one each in Peren and Longleng.
He added that among the 214 recovered patients – 135 were in Dimapur, 27 in Tuensang, 19 in Kohima, 14 in Mon, seven in Phek, five in Wokha, three in Longleng, two in Zunheboto and one each in Kiphire and Peren.
According to the Health and Family Welfare department update, the state currently has 4607 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 4249 are asymptomatic, 173 mild, 59 moderate on oxygen, 83 severe on oxygen, 27 in ICU without ventilator and 16 in ICU on ventilator.
The state also registered 14363 recoveries and 260 deaths (including 13 on Saturday), out of which 11 have been ruled “not Covid-related”.
In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has 2,578, 1,434 in Kohima, 132 in Mokokchung, 106 in Mon, 71 in Tuensang, 83 in Zunheboto, 68 in Phek, 40 in Longleng, 38 in Kiphire, 35 in Wokha and 22 in Peren.
