Nagaland records 24 new Covid-19 cases, 24 recoveries

Dimapur, Oct. 11 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 24 new Covid-19 cases and as many recoveries on Monday, taking the total number of cases to 31,473 and recoveries to 29,529.
The death toll remained unchanged at 656 with no fresh fatalities recorded in the last 24 hours.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 17 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, three in Tuensang, two in Mokokchung and one each in Peren and Phek.
Out of the 24 new recoveries, 19 were in Dimapur, and one each in Kohima, Mokokchung, Mon, Tuensang and Wokha.
Nagaland currently has 257 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 190 are asymptomatic, 47 mild, six moderate on oxygen, nine severe on oxygen, one in ICU without ventilator, and four in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has the highest number with 145, followed by Kohima with 50, 30 in Mokokchung, 11 in Tuensang, nine in Phek, four in Wokha, three in Mon, two each in Kiphire and Peren, one in Longleng, while Zunheboto is currently Covid-free.
