Nagaland records 22 new Covid-19 cases; tally rises to 12148

Dimapur, Feb. 6 (EMN): A total of 22 Covid-19 positive cases were detected in Nagaland on Saturday, taking the state’s tally to 12148.

This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.

‘Twenty-two positive cases of Covid-19 were detected today (Saturday) from Kohima. Also, five positive patients have recovered; Dimapur-4 and Kohima-1,’ tweeted the minister.

According to the information provided by the Health department, Nagaland currently has 85 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 79 are asymptomatic, five mild and one moderate on oxygen. The state has also recorded 11826 recoveries and 88 deaths, out of which 10 are ‘not Covid-related’.

In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Kohima leads with 58 cases, followed by Dimapur-24, Peren-2 and Tuensang-1, while Mokokchung, Kiphire, Longleng , Wokha, Phek, Mon and Zunheboto have zero cases.
