Nagaland records 21 Covid-19 cases, no deaths

Dimapur, Oct. 26 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 21 Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, taking the tally to 31,747 and active caseload to 225.

The state’s cumulative recoveries rose to 29,807 following recuperation of 39 more patients in the last 24 hours, while the death toll remained unchanged at 666 with no fresh fatalities.

According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 14 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, four in Kohima and three in Wokha, on Tuesday.

Out of the 39 new recoveries, nine were reported in Dimapur, eight in Kohima and 22 in Tuensang.

Nagaland currently has 225 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 172 are asymptomatic, 43 mild, three moderate on oxygen, six severe on oxygen and one in ICU without on ventilator.

In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has the highest number with 125, followed by Kohima with 44, 16 in Mokokchung, 13 in Wokha, eight each in Longleng and Tuensang, four in Mon, three in Phek, and two each in Peren and Zunheboto, while Kiphire is currently Covid-free.
