Nagaland records 2 new Covid-19 positive cases; tally stands at 11937

Dimapur, Jan. 5 (EMN): Nagaland recorded two new Covid-19 positive cases on Tuesday, taking the state’s tally to 11,937, according to an update from the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.

‘Two positive cases of Covid-19 were detected today (Tuesday); one each in Dimapur and Peren. Also, 30 positive patients have recovered; Mokokchung-26, Kohima-3 and Dimapur-1,’ tweeted the minister. 

According to the information provided by the Health department, Nagaland currently has 144 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 118 are asymptomatic, 17 mild, five moderate on oxygen, one severe on oxygen and three on ventilator.

The state has also recorded 11,581 recoveries so far and 79 deaths, out of which 10 cases have been ruled ‘not Covid-related’.

In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 73 cases, followed by Kohima-50, Mokokchung-14, Peren-5, and one each in Kiphire and Mon, while Tuensang, Wokha, Phek, Zunheboto and Longleng have zero cases.
