Nagaland records 18 new Covid-19 cases, no deaths

Dimapur, Oct. 20 (EMN):
Nagaland recorded 18 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, taking the tally to 31,659 and active caseload to 255.

The state’s total recoveries increased to 29,702 with recuperation of nine more patients in the last 24 hours, while the death toll remained unchanged at 661 as no fresh fatalities were recorded.

The update from the department of Health and Family Welfare informed that 10 cases were detected in Dimapur, four in Kohima, two in Wokha, and one each in Peren and Tuensang, while five patients recovered in Dimapur, two in Kohima, and one each on Mokokchung and Tuensang.

Out of the active cases in the state, 184 are asymptomatic, 54 mild, eight moderate on oxygen, six severe on oxygen, one in ICU without ventilator, and two in ICU on ventilator.

In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 132, Kohima- 47, Tuensang- 30, Mokokchung- 24, Longleng- 8, Phek- 4, Mon- 3, Peren- 3, Wokha- 3, and Kiphire- 1, while Zunheboto is currently Covid-free.
