Nagaland records 16 new Covid-19 cases, 1 death

Dimapur, Oct. 18 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 16 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, taking the tally to 31,627 and active caseload to 252.
The state’s cumulative recoveries rose to 29,676 with recuperation of nine more patients, while the death toll increased to 660 following one fatality reported in the last 24 hours.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 10 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, four in Mokokchung and one each in Kohima and Mon.
Of the nine new recoveries, six were reported in Dimapur and three in Kohima.
Nagaland currently has 252 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 191 are asymptomatic, 43 mild, six moderate on oxygen, six severe on oxygen, and six in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has the highest number with 126, followed by Kohima with 48, 30 in Tuensang, 25 in Mokokchung, eight each in Longleng and Phek, three in Mon, two in Peren, and one each in Kiphire and Wokha, while Zunheboto is Covid-free.
