Nagaland records 16 new Covid-19 cases

Dimapur, Feb. 3 (EMN):
Nagaland on Wednesday detected 16 fresh Covid-19 positive cases, taking the state’s tally to 12117.

Minster for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, in a Twitter update, informed that 15 cases were detected in Kohima while one in Dimapur on February 3.

He also informed that five Covid patients had recovered in Dimapur.

According to the report received from the Health department, there are 66 active cases while 11815 patients have recovered till date.

In the district-wise breakup, Kohima leads with 32 cases, followed by Dimapur with 28, Mokokchung with three, Peren with two and Tuensang with one case. The remaining districts have zero cases.

6024 healthcare workers vaccinated

A total of 151 healthcare workers were vaccinated in three districts on Wednesday. Mokokchung vaccinated 104 individuals, Phek-30 and Peren-17.

An update from state immunisation officer (UIP), Dr. Ritu Thurr informed that no adverse effects were reported till date which needed medical intervention.

District wise Covid-19 vaccination is: Kohima -1133; Dimapur -1114; Mokokchung – 810; Mon – 558; Phek – 506; Zunheboto – 488; Wokha – 458; Peren – 366; Tuensang – 335; Longleng – 132 and Kiphire – 124.

It further stated that till date, 41, 38, 918 beneficiaries have been vaccinated across the country with Covishield and Covaxin vaccine.
