Nagaland records 14 new Covid-19 cases, 1 death

Dimapur, Oct. 19 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 14 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, taking the tally to 31,641 while active caseload declined to 247 following recovery of 17 patients.

The state’s death toll increased to 661 with one fatality registered in the last 24 hours, while the cumulative recoveries increased to 29,693.

According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 10 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, three in Mokokchung and one in Kohima. The state also registered 17 recoveries, out of which seven were reported in Dimapur, four each in Kohima and Phek, and two in Mokokchung.

Nagaland currently has 247 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 178 are asymptomatic, 52 mild, six moderate on oxygen, seven severe on oxygen, one in ICU without ventilator, and three in ICU on ventilator.

In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has the highest number with 128 cases, followed by Kohima with 45, 30 in Tuensang, 25 in Mokokchung, eight in Longleng, four in Phek, three in Mon, two in Peren, and one each in Kiphire and Wokha, while Zunheboto is Covid-free.
