Nagaland records 13 fresh Covid-19 cases; 10,126 in India

Dimapur, Nov. 9 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 13 fresh Covid-19 positive cases on Tuesday, taking the tally to 31,951, while active caseload stands at 180.
The state’s cumulative recoveries have increased to 30,035, with 14 more patients having recuperated in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, the death toll remained unchanged at 673 with no Covid-19 death reported in the last 24 hours.
According to data from the department of Health and Family Welfare, nine out of the 13 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, two in Kohima and one each in Kiphire and Wokha.
It also informed that six patients had recovered in Dimapur, four in Phek, three in Wokha and one in Kohima.
Out of 180 active cases in the state, 147 are asymptomatic, 19 mild, five moderate on oxygen, three severe on oxygen, and six in ICU on ventilator.
In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 94 active cases, 30 each in Kohima and Mokokchung, six each in Wokha and Kiphire, four each in Tuensang and Mon, three in Phek, two in Peren and one in Zunheboto, while Longleng is currently Covid-free.
10,126 new cases in India
India reported 10,126 new coronavirus infections on Tuesday, taking the country’s total tally of Covid-19 cases climbed to 3,43,77,113, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
The death toll climbed to 4,61,389 with 332 fresh fatalities.
Meanwhile, recovery of 11,982 patients in the last 24 hours increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,37,75,086.
It stated that with the administration of 59,08,440 vaccine, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 109.08 crore (1,09,08,16,356).
