Nagaland records 10 new Covid-19 cases, no deaths

Dimapur, Oct. 4 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 10 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, taking the tally to 31,322 and active caseload to 313.

The state’s cumulative recoveries increased to 29,340 after 26 patients recuperated in the last 24 hours, while the death toll remained unchanged at 651 with no fatality reported.

According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, six positive cases were reported in Dimapur, and one each in Mokokchung, Kohima, Phek and Tuensang.

Of the 26 new recoveries, 24 were in Dimapur, and one each in Kohima and Mokokchung.

Nagaland currently has 313 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 225 are asymptomatic, 66 mild, seven moderate on oxygen, nine severe on oxygen, two in ICU without ventilator, and four in ICU on ventilator.

In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur has the highest number of positive cases with 175 active cases, followed by Kohima with 63, 37 in Mokokchung, 15 in Phek, eight in Kiphire, four each in Tuensang and Wokha, three in Mon and two each in Peren and Longleng, while Zunheboto is currently Covid-free.
