Nagaland Premier Badminton League from April 24

Dimapur, March 15 (EMN): The Nagaland Badminton Club through its convenor issued a press release on Fri. March 15 stating that it is organising the 1st ever Nagaland Premier Badminton League under the aegis of Nagaland Badminton Association with an aim to promote the sport in the state and to set a platform for the young upcoming talents as well as masters (above 35+).

The league will be played at the indoor stadium in Kohima from April 24 to 26th.

Teams will be divided into groups depending upon team registration, stated the press release.

The league will be played under the following categories: U-15 years (boys singles), U-17 years (girls singles), U-19 years (boys doubles), men singles, 75+ mixed doubles (men 40+ and women 30+), 85+men doubles, 95+ men doubles.

Team owners has to pay a registration fee of INR 50,000 to NPBL which is non refundable.

Players who wish to take part in the league must register themselves with a nominal charge of INR 200.

The total cash prize is INR 2,30,000 with a trophy and a certificate for the winner and runner-up of the league.

There will be prize for the player of the league and the most promising player. Accommodation and food will be provided by the organiser.
