DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has notified the revised tariff for 2023-2024 would be effective from April 1, 2023.
An update from the chief engineer (D&R) of Power department stated that the revised tariff rates should be updated in the existing pre-paid meters adding that for this purpose, a one-time token would be provided in the next recharge. The one-time token in digits for Kohima is 120 digits (Genus make meters) and for Dimapur is 40 digits (Secure make meters).
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]Consumers are requested to enter those digits in the same manner as the usual recharge token. It stated that the subsequent recharge token would be of twenty digits only.
Any consumers facing difficulties are asked to contact the prepaid helpline no. 8415900400 for assistance. It further informed that the department is putting in all efforts to resolve the issue of large number of digit in the one-time recharge token.
Power shutdown in four districts
Power department has informed that it would initiate power shutdown of 132/66/33kV 2x100MVA Nagarjan sub-station on April 1 from 6 am to 9 am to facilitate routine maintenance of 132kV Bus-bar, 132/66kV 100MVA transformer and 132/33kV 100MVA transformer.
It informed that power supply to Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Niuland and Peren districts would be affected during the shutdown period. The department, while expressing regret for the inconveniences, has sought cooperation from all the consumers.
