Dimapur, July 12 (EMN):
Nagaland Police has registered a case against Hema Chowdhary, a resident of Mumbai, for her abusive remarks directed at Nagas.

The SP (Crime) and PRO of Nagaland Police, Manojkumar A, told Eastern Mirror on Sunday that “a case has been registered at cyber crime PS on July 8 in this matter and investigation is in progress, and hence (he) will not be in a position to provide more information.”

Earlier it was reported that Chowdhary would be brought to Nagaland by the police.

Kuholy Chishi, one of the petitioners who had filed a case against Chowdhary, said that if the Nagaland Police ‘does not act, the Northeast people will have no option but to go for a protest in Delhi.’

“We have already got permission for the protest in Delhi and if the Nagaland Police do not act, we will have to resort to silent protest in Delhi,” she said.
