The inaugural Nagaland Pickleball Masters 2026, organised by Nagaland Pickleball Association, concludes with exciting finals across categories in Dimapur.
DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Pickleball Masters 2026, held from July 24 to the 26th at The Fitness House in Dimapur, concluded with a closing and prize distribution ceremony.
Organised by the Nagaland Pickleball Association (NPA), the inaugural edition of the tournament was presented by Niathu Group in collaboration with The Fitness House, Nagaland. The closing ceremony was attended by Advisor for Agriculture and MLA Mhathung Yanthan as the chief guest.
According to an update, the marquee Men's Doubles Open title was claimed by Aditya Singh and Megotsolie Khate, who defeated Mayank SD and Zhaputso Khate in the final. In the Women's Doubles Open, Racheal Jones and Elona Ayemi emerged as champions, with Manaswinee Hazarika and Nayeem Hussain finishing as runners-up.
In the age categories, the Split Mixed Doubles 75+ title was won by Vilasier Khate and Naomi Zhimomi, while Abu Metha and Racheal Jones secured the runners-up position. The Mixed Doubles Open title went to Manaswinee Hazarika and Vilasier Khate, with Arjun Singh and Vivian Kiba finishing as runners-up.
In the Men's Doubles 40+ category, Abu Metha and Vikho Khate emerged as champions, defeating runners-up Lhouvi and Mongden. The Men's Doubles 45+ was won by Imli Subong and Ringo Odyuo, while Abu Metha and Rohan Abraham were the runners-up.

The Mixed Doubles 40+ title went to Vikho Khate and Toshi, with Kuchi and Naomi finishing as runners-up.
In the Champion of Champions, a special gender-neutral format bringing together players across categories, Aditya Singh emerged victorious to claim the coveted title. The tournament also featured a series of exhibition matches showcasing top talent.
The organisers expressed gratitude to all players, officials, volunteers, sponsors, partners, media, and fans. They thanked the sponsors, including Metro Group, Borah Brands, and Mahindra, for their support in hosting the championship.
In his address, Yanthan congratulated all participants, winners, and runners-up for their performance and sportsmanship. He appreciated the NPA for successfully organising the tournament and promoting the emerging sport in the state.
Yanthan highlighted the growing popularity of pickleball in Nagaland, describing it as an inclusive sport suitable for all age groups. He noted that the game, which combines elements of tennis, table tennis, squash, and badminton, is gaining rapid acceptance in the state. He also expressed optimism that such sporting events would help build stronger sports infrastructure and create more opportunities for youth under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
Abu Metha, also speaking at the event, thanked the chief guest for attending and appreciated his encouragement towards sports development. He lauded the efforts of the NPA and The Fitness House team for hosting the tournament.
Metha said pickleball has grown rapidly in Nagaland, bringing together people from different age groups and backgrounds. He noted that local players are now competing at national levels, bringing recognition to the state.
He further informed that players from various parts of the country, including Mumbai, Kolkata, and Guwahati, participated in the tournament alongside some national and international-level players.
