Nagaland: Phek monitoring and supervisory team visits health units
Dimapur, Sep. 13 (EMN): Monitoring and supervisory team led by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Phek, Dr. Vibeituonuo Mepfuo visited all the health units under Meluri and Phek blocks from September 3 to the 9th.
The CMO was accompanied by programme officers namely Dr. Kolhitso Khalo, DPO RCH/UIP; Dr. Lanuakum, DVBO; Dr. Limatoshi, epidemiologist; Dr. Martin, MO; Sede, DPM NHM; Martenzuk, DAM; and pharmacists Chubanaro and Shekho, stated an update from the CMO office.
Supervisory checks of the health units maintenance, implementation of all health programmes, regularity of staff, involvement of the community in health activities, waste management etc was carried out during the visit.
The team also visited far flung village of Avangkhu, which is about 245 km away from Phek town where the construction of a new sub-centre is in process.
The team will also visit the health units under Chozuba and Pfutsero blocks.
