Dimapur, July 12 (EMN): In an attempt to make the students employable when they complete their degrees, Pfutsero Government College, IQAC (internal quality assurance cell) organised an orientation programme in collaboration with YouthNet on ‘employment in the private sector and employability skills development’ in the college auditorium on July 12.
Tsepila Zhimomi, Training and Skills Development Supervisor, YouthNet; and Zhabounuo Zumu, HR Executive, NJC YouthNet were the resource persons of the orientation programme, informed an update from the college.
The students were oriented on different private sectors such as media, telecom, retail, construction, hospitability, automobile, music industry, education institutes, banking and insurance at the workshop.
Zhimomi urged the students to take an extra step to make a change and stressed on experience and hard work. She also encouraged them to develop employability skills and start working hard from “low to a greater height.”
Sutoli Sema, HoD Deptt. of Economics, chaired the programme, while Dr. Moanochet, Principal, PCGP delivered the welcome address and TL Singsit, Vice Principal, PCGP, delivered the vote of thanks.
