Nagaland Open Women Football League: KICSE Kohima, FAPD win

KOHIMA— Khelo India State Centre of Excellence (KICSE) Kohima, and Football Association Phek District (FAPD) registered win on Wednesday at the ongoing first Nagaland Open Women Football League being held at Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima.

In the first match of the day, the KISCE Kohima defeated Hilly Girls FC 5-0.

The opening score came from the boot of lmlimeren Jamir, less than a minute (26 seconds) into the match, making it the fastest goal since the league opening on Monday; she went on to score another goal in the first half.

Neke scored a brace in the 9th minute and 25th minute, before Nouneino sealed the game for KISCE Kohima by scoring the fifth goal.

In the second match played between the Football Association Phek District and Peren District Women FC, the former won 2-0.

Lhuvekholu Tetseo netted both the goals in the 29th and 34th minutes.
