DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) has rescheduled the dates for the Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games 2024 to February 12-17, 2024, after a consultative meeting with affiliated sports associations and stakeholders on November 25.

A notification from the NOA informed that the consultative meeting was held at the Talimeren Conference Hall in Kohima to discuss the upcoming sports events and the sports associations’ calendar.

It said the new dates for the Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games 2024 was fixed after considering inputs from all the members and the host city as well as taking various sports meets and festivals into account.

It added that cricket (Men’s T20) will also be included in the upcoming sporting extravaganza.

This decision was taken after consulting with the Nagaland Cricket Association and taking into account the International Olympic Committee’s decision to make cricket an Olympic sport. In this regard, registration will be opened from January 10 to the 17th, 2024, and there will be no name changes once registered.

All sports associations of the participating disciplines have been requested to submit their competition manuals along with the list of organising committee members (name and phone number) to the NOA office on or before December 12, 2023.

The notification mentioned that the organising committee will provide accommodation, local transport, food, and technical competition arrangements in the host city, while detailed information about arrival and departure will be communicated later.

The NOC’s co-ordinating officials Kajiiloni Krichena (sports operations manager) can be reached at 8415035565 and Khuvinu Tase (office assistant) at 8415035548, between 2 pm and 5 pm on working days (Monday to Friday).
