National People’s Party Nagaland and NPYF condole the demise of former MLA P Mongchua, father of MLA Benei M Lamthiu.

DIMAPUR — The National People’s Party (NPP), Nagaland state unit, and the National People's Youth Front (NPYF) have condoled the demise of P Mongchua, former Member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly from the 57 Thonoknyu Assembly Constituency.
In a condolence message, NPP Nagaland mentioned that Mongchua passed away at his residence in Tuensang on Monday. He was the father of NPP MLA Benei M Lamthiu.
The party described him as a respected public leader, having served the people with dedication, simplicity, and a deep sense of responsibility. "His contribution to public life and his legacy of service will always be remembered with honour," the party stated.
Expressing condolences, A Nyamnyei Konyak, president of NPP Nagaland, stated: “I am deeply saddened by the passing of Late Shri P. Mongchua, a former MLA and a respected elder of our society. His life of service and leadership has left a lasting imprint on the people of Thonoknyu and Nagaland at large.”
He extended heartfelt condolences to Lamthiu and the bereaved family on behalf of the party, praying for the Almighty to grant them strength and comfort during this time of profound grief.
The unit expressed solidarity with the MLA and the bereaved family, praying that the departed soul rests in eternal peace.
In a separate statement, the NPYF Nagaland state unit expressed deep sadness at the passing of the former MLA.
"Late Mr. Mongtsa was a respected leader who served the people of his constituency and the state with dedication during his tenure as a legislator. His passing is a significant loss not only to his family but to the community he served," the NPYF stated.
"At this moment of profound grief, we extend our deepest sympathies and solidarity to his son, our Hon’ble MLA Shri Benei Lamthiu, and the entire bereaved family.
We share in your sorrow and stand with you during this difficult time. We pray that the Almighty God grants the bereaved family the strength and solace needed to bear this irreparable loss," it added.
