Dimapur, Aug. 19 (EMN): National Health Mission (NHM), in collaboration with Axis Bank Limited, Kohima branch, conducted a two-day orientation training on fund disbursement and management solution (FDMS) on August 17 and 18 in the conference hall of the chief medical officer (CMO) in Kohima.
The training was held in line with the Ministry of Finance’s office memorandum on ‘Procedure for release of funds under centrally sponsored scheme (CSS) and monitoring utilisation of funds released,’ stated an update from the Health department. It added that the FDMS would be used as a tool for effective fund management and bring more efficiency in disbursement to NHM schemes at various agency level.
NHM mission director, Dr. Thorhusie Katiry, has thanked the Axis Bank for giving their valuable time to share and explain in-depth on FDMS and appealed the district and block accounts mangers under the umbrella of National Health Mission and financial consultants, programme divisions to take the opportunity and clear all their queries as such kind of training cannot be organised frequently.
Dr. Katiry stated this in the presence of Dr. Mereninla Senlem, NHM state programme officer, and Dr. Tinurenla, NHM deputy director.
The resource persons were led by Keneingutuo Albert, NHM finance manager, along with representatives from Axis Bank and IT Solution team.
