YLASA supports STPF’s demand

DIMAPUR — Yimkhiung Liberü Arihako Shamator Area (YLASA) has supported Shamator Town Public Forum (STPF) in their demand for deployment of adequate manpower and medical facilities at community health centre (CHC) in Shamator. YLASA has accused the government of neglecting the public of Shamator by not deploying adequate manpower to man the CHC, Shamator. While highlighting the plight of the public, YLASA urged the department to lean their ears and hear the cry of poor patients of Shamator district by addressing the grievances at the earliest.

NSCN (Khango) terminates deputy secretary

NSCN (Khango) has terminated its deputy secretary, Athrichum Sangtam, from the active and primary membership of Naga national service with immediate effect. The termination letter was issued by the chief secretary as per the Ahza (order) vide memo No.  CS-XIX/ CASE-01/2023-24, dated 6th June2023. The deputy secretary was terminated allegedly for breaching the ‘party discipline’ and deviating from the prescribed ‘norms of conduct’ of the government. It further stated that the membership of the said cadre would cease to be validated and effectively bear no responsibility.

NSCN (IM) condoles demise of cadres

NSCN (IM) has condoled the demise of Lieutenant Colonel Alex Achumi from Sumi region and Colonel Ngachonshim Shimray from WTR, who passed away following prolonged illness. An NSCN (IM)’s statement through its MIP, while lamenting the loss, stated that their services towards the Naga national cause would be cherished for all time to come. It further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for peace of the departed souls.

Education dept. appoints appellate officers

Nagaland government has appointed appellate authority (AA), public information officer (PIO) and assistant public information officer (APIO) in respect of School Education department. In a notification, the commissioner and secretary, Kevileno Angami has been appointed as AA, while the additional secretary, T Yanpvuthung Kikon, has been appointed as PIO, and the joint secretary, Zeneikhonuo Vimero as APIO. At the district-level, the principal director, Thavaseelan K, has been appointed as AA; addition director, Razouseyi Vese as PIO, and deputy director, B Nellayappan, as APIO.

Tuensang district launches diarrhea control fortnight

Tuensang district health society (DHS) has launched the Intensified Diarrhoea Control Fortnight (IDCF) at DPRO office at Post Office ward in Tuensang town on June 5. Speaking at the launch event, Putusola, DCM (NHM), spoke on diarrhoea management and also stressed on the importance of ORS, Zinc, sanitation and hygiene. During the programme, ORS, Zinc tablets, biscuits and sweets were distributed to children as well as to mothers. Demonstration on how to prepare ORS and the administering of the zinc tablets were conducted during the programme.
