WWII Museum closed for renovation


DIMAPUR — The Directorate of Art & Culture, Government of Nagaland, has notified that the 2nd World War Museum, Kisama, will remain closed from August 20 till further notice due to ongoing major renovation works, a DIPR report stated.


NCSU consultative meet on August 26


DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Contractors' and Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) has informed its golden jubilee sub-committee members (all 16 district unit presidents) that there will be a consultative meeting on August 26 at Hotel Japfü at 4pm. In a press release, the union requested all members to attend the meeting without fail.

DDCF announces new office bearers


DIMAPUR — The Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum (DDCF) held its general meeting on August 9 at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur. The event began with a welcome address by Temsupok Jamir, DDCF vice president, followed by a report from the Constitution Amendment Committee convenor, an update stated. The outgoing office bearers were then honoured, and the nomination committee convenor presented the committee’s report, paving the way for the induction of new office bearers for the upcoming term. The newly elected office bearers include Vikato Achumi as president, Richard Haolai as vice president, Mar Lemtur as general secretary, and Ankur Biswas Sharma as finance secretary.

ANHTU Dimapur elects new team


DIMAPUR — The All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU), Dimaput unit, elected a new team of office bearers for the session 2025–2028 on August 9 at HSPK Burma Camp. The new office bearers are Temsuyanger Ao (president), Uttam Sonowal (vice president), Ahoka Sema (secretary), Chubanenungla (joint secretary), B Amenla (finance secretary), Khrievotsunuo Tsucrhu (treasurer),  Nginbamlle Meru and Tekarenla Tzudir (cultural secretaries), H Daniel Sema and Khekashi Sema (advisors), and Rokono Khoube (active member). Meanwhile, a meeting is scheduled for August 30 at 2 pm at HSPK Burma Camp, Banker, to facilitate the handing over and assumption of charges.
