Minister Kaito condoles Hekiye Zhimo’s demise
DIMAPUR — Minister for PWD (Roads & Bridges) G Kaitó Aye has condoled the passing of Hekiye Zhimo of Shoixe village, an elder of Satakha town and former area council chairman of Satakha town, who passed away on Tuesday at Guwahati. In a condolence message, the minister stated that to many, Zhimo was a respected elder and a dedicated public servant. “To me, he was much more than that. He was a father figure, a man whose blessings, counsel and support I have always cherished. “Through the years, he stood by me with quiet strength, sincere advice and unshakable loyalty. His faith in me was something I never took for granted and I will forever remain grateful for the love and trust he bestowed upon me,” the message read. The minister went on to state that Zhimo’s life had been one of humility, integrity, and service “To the bereaved family, I offer my deepest and most heartfelt condolences,” the message added.
ANGPTA to felicitate LDE qualifiers
The All Nagaland Government Primary Teachers' Association (ANGPTA) will host a felicitation programme on July 10 at 12 noon at Morung Hall, Directorate of School Education, Kohima, to honour primary teachers who qualified in the recent Limited Departmental Examination (LDE). According to a press release, the decision was taken during the association's meeting held on June 13. The association requested all successful primary teachers to submit their details to 9856802060 within two days from the date of the notice to facilitate the necessary arrangements for the programme. It also requested the director and other officials of the Department of School Education to attend the occasion. Further, the ANGPTA invited two representatives each from every district unit and sub-unit, as well as all central team office bearers and advisors, to attend the programme. Following the felicitation programme, a separate session will be held for the nomination of the new central team.
HSTU Kohima announces new team
The High School Traders Union (HSTU), Kohima, has appointed its new office bearers for the 2026-2028 tenure with immediate effect. According to an update, the new office bearers are Kezha Miachieo as president, Keneizhalie Mere as general secretary, and Mhaphruovizo Liezietsu as vice president. The team was finalised during a meeting held at Kezhaü’s Hotel, Kohima, on June 10.
